Biography

Aadil M. Pathan is a lecturer at Darul Qasim College, where he teaches courses in Quranic studies & theology, Fiqh, and Arabic.

Aadil completed his memorization of the Quran at the Academy of Sawt al-Furqan. He began his studies of Arabic, Islamic law, theology, Hadith and Quranic exegesis with scholars in New Jersey, Darul Qasim, Istanbul, and Karachi, completing the Dars-i Niẓāmī at Dārul ʿUlūm Karachi, where he studied Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī under Justice Mufti Taqi Usmani and Mawlana Aziz al-Rahman of Swat. He holds ijāzāt from Mufti Taqi Usmani, Shaykh Samer al-Nass, and other scholars. At Darul Qasim College, he completed the Tafsīr Specialization Program, writing his thesis on the philosophy and hermeneutics of the schools of Shāh Walī Allāh and Ibn ʿArabī, with their philosophical bearing upon modern hermeneutics. Under Shaykh Amin Kholwadia, he studied tafsīr, Muslim philosophy, politics, the Ḥujjat Allāh al-Bālighah of Shāh Walī Allāh, and the Ṣaḥīḥ of Bukhārī, and courses in semantics and Ḥanafī thought with Dr. Issam Eido. He is currently pursuing advanced studies in Islamic and Western metaphysics and philosophy with Shaykh Hasan Spiker.
