This course offers a practical introduction to the rulings and principles that shape a Muslim woman’s daily religious life. Drawing from the juridical expertise of the Hanafi school of thought, students will study the fiqh of menstruation, purity, prayer, fasting, marriage, family life, and other everyday matters that frequently arise in the lives of Muslim women. By connecting classical scholarship to contemporary realities, the course equips women with practical guidance and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom of Islamic law.

Alimah Bushra Alvi has been a student at Darul Qasim College since 2017 and completed the core program in 2024. She is currently in her second year of takhaṣṣuṣ (advanced specialization) in fiqh. Bushra previously taught fiqh at Darul Qasim and currently teaches Arabic, bringing both academic depth and teaching experience to her students. Alimah Bushra will be teaching the Afternoon Session: Aug.31-Oct. 5|Mon., 12-1pm CT for this course.
Alimah Faatimah Ajmeri is an Arabic instructor at Darul Qasim College. After memorizing the Qur’an, she began her higher Islamic education at DarusSalam Seminary in 2016, studying in the Alimiyyah program for two years. She then transferred to Darul Qasim College in 2018, while simultaneously earning an Associate Degree from the College of DuPage. In 2024, she completed the Advanced Program at Darul Qasim College and joined the faculty to teach Arabic. Alimah Faatimah will be teaching the Evening Session: Sep.1-Oct.6|Tue., 7-8pm for this course.
