Khutbah delivered by Shaykh Amin on August 21st, 2015
We are very quick to saying, “Muslims are not united,” which may be true. But where they are united, we should observe, and then bear testimony, and give Shahādah (declaration of faith) to the world:
If there was a third party bystander outside, whose never seen this (Friday prayer) before in his life, and he was to observe us from the outside… what would he see? Or if he went to the masājid where they have thousands of people for Ṣalāt al-Jumuʿah (Friday congregational prayer), what will that person see? Would he see a community who is disciplined and organized, or would he see a community that’s not organized? Would he see a community that is united, or a community that’s not united? The Truth is very clear. Allah ﷻ is the Ḥaqq (the True). When we respond to Allah’s ﷻ call to ʿibādah (worship) from the Ghayb (Unseen) then Allah ﷻ unites our hearts. The Shariah of Muhammad ﷺ is designed to unite the whole Ummah through ʿibādah.
