It provides a comparative analysis of varied manifestations of Islamist politics, trends in Islam as a significant force, and ideas in classical and contemporary Islamic political thought. It devises a critical approach to the study of Islamic politics and helps learners evaluate the ideas, beliefs, perceptions and convictions of both Muslim and non-Muslim political thinkers.
